What is Tracks?

Tracks is an app that began its journey in 2025 when Italian and Slovenian writers, inspired by the stories of the railways and the buses in the region surrounding the twinned cities of Gorizia/Nova Gorica and the passengers that have travelled in this land, wrote a series of tales for you to listen to during your trip. Every track is designed to correspond with a specific bus or train line that crosses Gorizia/Nova Gorica. However, keen as we are to spread the stories of this region far and wide, you can also listen to them wherever you may be.

The project

This cross-border project was developed by Puntozero and PiNA. It provides local transport passengers with audio stories they can listen to via an application for smartphones. These immersive stories are set in the areas around the Italian-Slovenian border and were written by authors from the two countries. The project involves various forms of public transport and multiple routes in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Primorska with site-specific audio content for the outbound and return journeys of each one.
